red mail John Hitchen
Can anyone help me solve a family problem. Who is the father of John Hitchen (b.13th June, 1762, at Stonehill Farm, Grindleton, West Riding of Yorkshire? I have followed a line with a Robert Hitchen (b.1731) as John's father and Elizabeth Crabtree as his mother. However, a cousin remembers her mother telling her the story of John Hitchen. His parents were engaged to be married, she was pregnant, but he was killed in a riding accident before they could marry. Does anyone know this story and can anyone help with the names of John Hitchen's parents? Any help you casn given me will be very much a((reciated. Many thanks.
