red mail Looking for descandants of Rhodes
I am looking for descendants of Willie Rhodes who married Alice Shakeshaft in 1908 at St. Peter's Parish Church. His mother was Mary Rhodes of Shipley near Bradford. No father name appears on his birth cert. However a George Rhodes is given on the marriage cert as his father deceased. (could have been made up to make things better?) His mother married my great grandfather Harry Lightfoot the day before Willie was 10years old. Willie always kept his surname Rhodes though my great grandfather brought him up as a son. My own grandadfather James Lightfoot was born when Willie was 14years old. Both Willie & Alice were witness at James marriage to Mabel Pearson in 1917. My own father remembers Willie & Alice living futher along the main road from Conisbrough towards the Maltby crossroads. As my father's family left Conisbrough sometime after 1932 they must have lost touch. My father would love to know what became of them. Thank you.
