Keesbury Manor Cawood
I am researching this Manor in the village of Cawood North Yorks. We have recently done an archaeological dig finding evidence of early Viking age settlers to the site around the 9th century There have been many owners of the site over the centuries from the Cawood's in 1201 to the Prest Williamson estate in the 1940's If you have any information about this site I would be delighted to hear from you Best wishes Margaret

She was probably the daughter of George Palmer and Elizabeth Carr (m. 1768), and the sister of George, Elizabeth and Esther, born in Cawood between 1769 and 1783. Esther had a son, Richard Cross Palmer, b. Cawood c. 1810.

Please has anyone any information on the above families who were from Cawood. My paternal grandmother was Rose Middleton born 1879 her parents were Joseph Middleton and Eliza Proctor. I am also interested in a John Hembrough or Hemingborough who was Eliza's father He married Elizas mother Harriet Proctor in 1856 at the Parish Church Cawood when Eliza was about 8 years old.. In 1865 Eliza married Joseph Middleton at Cawood. On the certificate she is Proctor and her father is John Hemborogh.
