Searching for forebears and descendants of Thomas Calverley, b 1827 and Ellen Edmondson b. 1820 who lived at Brogden Barnoldswick and married 1849. A son Thomas Calverley married Grace Thompson in 1874. They had two children, Thomas, born 1879, and Ellen, born 1882 (who married Albert Drinkwater and had two children: Annie, born 1906, and Albert, born 1908.) Grace died in 1890, and Thomas remarried a few years later to Janet Farmer Danson, who was born in Scotland in 1873. Thomas and Janet had two children born in Ulverstone: Mary in 1893, and Frederick in 1895. Frederick married a lady named Blakie and had three children: Marjorie, Freda and Thomas, in Burnley in the 1920's and early 30's. Thomas Calverley senior lived to 98 and died in Nelson in 1952, a few months after Janet. A daughter of Thomas and Ellen Calverley, Alice Ann married 1) Samuel Scaife 1874, who died 1891, and 2) Robert Pickard in 1894, and lived in Colne.She had five sons: James Thomas born 1874, Cyrus, born 1875, Sam, born 1879, Robert, Frederick Septimus, born 1886, and a daughter Maggie Pickard.

Searching for Parthenia Robinson born 1791 Barnoldswick Yorkshire/Lancashire. She married a William ANDERSON and had child Robert Edgar ANDERSON 1826. He came to Australia and married Mary Ann Lavinia Campbell in 1856. Trying to find out more about the ANDERSON/Robinson line from Barnoldswick. Their children were James b. 1789, John b. 1797, Peter b. 1799, and Martha b. 1801. James married Margaret Stanley in 1814. Their children include: Stephen b. 1816, Mary b. 1817, Ann b. 1824, William b. 1826, Margaret b. 1827 and Ann b. 1839. William married Elizabeth Barrett in 1846. Their children were James b. 12849, Barrett b. 1851, William b. 1859, and Annice b. 1861. William married Grace Wellock in 1882 and moved to Harbor Beach, Michigan. I have many details to share of the family.

Im looking for anyone with any Info for a Charles or Charlie/Charley Thornton. Im unaware of exactly where he was born but from what i can gather there is a Barnoldswick and Morecambe connection. Charles was born circa 1888, i cant find him on any of the census but i did find his marriage certificate which states his father was a James Thornton and the address given is at Victoria Cottages in Morecambe. Charles marries a Mary Hannah Normington in 1919 at the age of 29 in the rossendale valley in Lancashire. Together they have 4 children Sarah, John (jack), Eric and Douglas but only after losing 2 children to whooping cough a few years prior. I really am at my wits end with this one, so any help whatsoever would be appreciated
Searching for any information on a Frank Warburton born about 1908 we believe Barnoldswick. He married a Susie Hartley 1904 who lived with her family in a bungalow on GREENBERFIELD LANE , Barnoldswick. at the end of GISBURN ROAD on the right. ALICE HARTLEY lived COBDEN STREET . ELSIE HARTLEY married a EVERETT DUERDEN lived RAINHILL RD. AMELIA ( MILLY ) HARTLEY lived Hollins rd ELLEN HARTLEY also 7 brothers who died in the first and second world wars . Any information on The Warburton or Hartley family would be fantastic . We believe that Frank and Susie were both cremated at SKIPTON . Regards Lucy

I'm looking for information on/ or descendents of the Norcross family who resided at Clough Terrace, Barnoldswick, York. My great, great grandmother Dinah Norcross was married in around 1852 in Gisburn, Yorkshire and widowed in 1879. She had 10 children with her husband ? Norcross. They were William, Jane, Martha, Elizabeth, Clement, Ellen, John, James, Fanny & Holgate. Clement Norcross - born in March 1862 - was my Great Great Garndfather. He married Alice Slater in Skipton in June 1882. Clement emigrated to Australia travelling aboard the Austral in June 1888 at the age of 26, with Alice (24) and the couple's 3 daughtet's Bessie (6), Flossie (4) and Una (1) following in June 1889 also aboard the Austral. Another daughter Mabel was born in Australia. Would also love to hear from any connections to Alice Slater who we believe married beneath her.
