red mail William Walters
I am researching my family tree and am looking for information on the parents of William Walters born 15 February 1842 or 1841 in Attercliiffe. I have found a baptism for a William Walters on 13th March 1842 at Sheffield Parish church, Church street naming parents as George (a labourer) and Martha, but can't find them on any censuses around that time. In 1851 there's a William Walters aged 6 living in Ecclesall Bierlow workhouse and an orphan, he is listed as being born on Burgess Street Sheffield, I don't know if this is him or not. William married Mary Swift in Chesterfield in 1860 and died in January 1926. William's children were Fred ,George William, Jesse and Joseph. If anyone has any information I would be very grateful if you could pass it on to me. Thank you in anticipation. Carol
