red mail Locating a house near a pub - (Castleton - Yorkshire, North Riding)
Am trying to find out where the Robin Hood pub is or was in Castleton. My orphaned mother, her sister and their 'granny' stayed with some people a few doors from the pub and the children attended the local school. Am wondering if this was a relative. This would have been around 1912 or a few years later. The children were Pennacks, granny Pennack was nee Featherstone. There may be a Watson connection. Does anyone know of old village school records which may give some information?

red mail thompson claxton/greatham area - (Claxton - Yorkshire, North Riding)
I am trying to trace any living relatives or anyone who has the following names in there family tree. My great grandfather is Robert Tompson and Great grandmother Clara Thompson. My Grandmother was Amy Frances Thompson born 1905 who then went onto marry a Wilson. I then believe she moved to an area of London(unsure of dates) but she gave birth to my Mother, Maureen June in 1936 in London. My Grandmother was born on 22nd July 1905 at Claxton Grange Farm, Claxton, billingham. I would be interested to find out if my grandmother had any brothers and sisters? also if those brothers and sisters had any living children. I also believe the farm mentioned above may have been owned by the Thompson family before the 1900's and then passed down to Robert thompson. I know he was definately living there in 1905 as this is stated on my grandmothers birth certificate. A town near to Claxton is Greatham, maybe there are some living relatives residing there? Any further information regarding the family name of Thompson in that area would be greatfully received. Or if anyone knows the wereabouts of the relatives,or perhaps they have the above names in their Family Tree, please contact me. Thank you
