red mail John Place and Fortune Walker marr 1773
I am seeking descendants of John Place and Fortune Walker to see if they are related to me. My second Great Grandfather was Alexander Fortune Place, i have't found his grandfather s birth that of Alexander Place c1778. Wondered if may be his is where the Fortune has come from. Long shot I know but you never know. Any children from this couple please. Would like to make contact. I know John Place and Fortune Walker were working as servants most likely at Ormesby Hall they marr 1773. John died abt 1775 and Fortune remarried Richard Lunn but not in Ormesby.

Researching Matthew Munroe who married Jane Brown (dtr of John Brown and Mary from Bishop Auckland, b 4th April 1743) 17th May 1768 in Ormesby. Matthew was a servant and I am interested to know if he was employed at Ormesby Hall and if so what his duties entailed. Many thanks

JOHN HENRY CROWE c1849 and CHARLOTTE(nee BUNTING) from NORFOLK. He worked as a Platelayer in a foundry in NORTH ORMSBY. l would like to know if anyone has any information about the family, what foundry he worked at, and what sort of work was involved.
