Please can you help my friend with information about a Wiffen family living in Great Ayton possibly bewteen 1900 and 1935? Additonally can anyone throw some light on the childhood of Edith Emily Williams (bn. 25.09.1900) who spent her childhood in Great Ayton with the family called Wiffen or Wiffin? She probably went to school there.Emily may have been fostered perhaps.

Can anyone remember that there was a watchmakers shop in the High Street? My grandfather is in the 1911 census but we can't find any listings or photos of his shop. His name was Samuel Thomas Terry.
