red mail Lund/Agar/Rowntree families at Farlington, Ripon,Ripon Parks and thence into County Durham; Crook and West Hartlepool.
I have traced our Lund family back to Farlington, North Yorkshire. From there they moved to Ripon and Ripon Parks (Middle Parks Farm). The Lunds then moved into County Durham, in particular Crook and West Hartlepool. Thomas Lund was a farmer at Farlington and we estimate that he was born circa 1730. He married Ann Agar at Farlington Chapelry 30.05.1754. Thomas was buried at Farlington on 29.08.1756. Thomas had one son, Thomas, who was baptised at Farlington on 01.06.1755. Thomas married Elizabeth Rowntree at Farlington on 16.12.1781. Elizabeth was the daughter of Mary and Robert Roantree of Sutton-on-the-Forest. Thomas died at Ripon Parks 03.10.1830 and was buried from Ripon Holy Trinity Church 06.10.1830. His will was dated 17.09.1830. Thomas and Elizabeth had six children all baptised at Farlington Chapelry in the following years :- Robert 1782, Ann 1784, Elizabeth 1785, Thomas 1787, William 1789 (will dated 12.01.1838) and Henry 1791. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has links to this family.
