Does anyone know details of the cottage (now demolished) that once stood at the left hand side of the road leading to Barton-le-Street--it was the last dwelling in the village? The name of the resident MAY have been Brown.

Mary Horsley and Jane Horsley got married by bans in Jan/ Feb 1790 in AppleLeStreet. Mary Married Joseph Thackeray of Hovingham and Jane married John Black. There are few Horsely and only the thackeray children in the parish records. Anyone have information?

Margret had two children who lived, Mary who married Thomas Joseph Dolphin and had 3 children, Joe, Tom and Margret (Peggy) descendants live in Canada. 2nd husband Lawrence Miller, 1 child, Ethel who married George Valentine son of Joseph, master shoemaker of Dover st, Preston. The last couple were my grandparents. i am lookin for more information of the families, mainly the Hebdens and Boltons.
