Ralph Booth, born 1840, Norton, Yorkshire.
I have had no luck finding my great grandfather, Ralph Booth, born 1840, in Norton,( in the Parish of Campsall, in Doncaster Reg.District ) Yorkshire in the 1861 census records. I have found him in the 1841, 1851, 1871 ,1881 and 1891 census records, but he is nowhere to be found , in any county , in 1861. He lived in the parish of Swanland in the Reg.District of Sculcoates, near Hull, from 1851 to 1891 and as his wife, Ann ( nee Pheasby) was born in Langtoft, North Yorkshire, and lived there until she and Ralph were married, I thought that he might have moved to that area to work, when single. He was listed in 1871 as a shepherd, so probably would have been working for a farmer somewhere in Yorkshire, in 1861. Has anyone any ideas about how to find Ralph.? Any help would be very much appreciated . Thank you.
red mail Harland Family
I am looking to find info on John Harland born abt 1805 in South Cave he married Sarah from Holme Upon Spalding Moor and had we think five children. The family spent several years in Swanland Mary Jane was born in Swanland. Children were James 1829 (we don't think is Sarah's child), William 1837, Esther 1844, Mary Jane 1847 (my ancestor) and Margaret 1849. Apart from Mary Jane no trace of the family after the 1851 Census, Mary Jane has a child George Harland at Sculcoates Workhouse age 16.
red mail VERONICA HAYES
Born May 1917 or 18 , daughter of Thomas Patterson Hayes, a miner and Elizabeth Simpson. My mother died this year , and I would like to trace any family history, as my mother shared nothing of her early life. I believe her mother may have passed away when she was young, and her father remarried? There may be 4 siblings. She migrated to Australia sometime before her marriage in 1944., possibly as a child. For whatever reason she kept her secret I would dearly love to know any family history, especially any surviving family members
