red mail SHEE or SHEA
Mary Ann SHEE was born in Patrington in in 1851. Her father was Patrick SHEE and he was from an Irish family. Her mother was probably Margaret who died before 1861. Patrick's mother was Margaret SHEE. The name is often shown as SHEA. Patrick's mother Margaret Shee's family lived in Liverpool before moving to Hull. They were in Liverpool in 1841 and the address is given as Hunt or Hurt Bk (whch could mean back) Margaret was 50 but husband is not shown. There were numerous other family members in the house, all born in Ireland. Mary Ann Shee married Frederick SMITH in Patrington near Hull in 1870. Frederick had been born in Patrington probably in 1851. It seems that in 1871 Frederick and Mary Ann kept the King William Inn on Trundle Street, Hull. He then became a worker at the docks and they lived in Hull for the rest of their lives. I would welcome information about any branch of this family.

red mail Winship / Smith
My grandfather Harry Smith married my grandmother Elsie Winship in Patrington in 1911. Does anyone out there know if either family lived in the area. I know they were in Hull because that is where my mother was born. They had 5 children i know of 3 Joyce Smith b1921, Doreen b1920 and Cecil b1923. I also know that Harry remarried later on and went on to have more children, but i do not know what happened to Elsie. Any information will be gratefully appreciated. Thankyou Wendy.
red mail Leadley, John and Hannah
This couple did not appear to have been born in Patrington but were married in St Patrick's church in 1808 by licence (an indication they were not local). Hannah nee Jarvis (Jervis) came from Lincolnshire and I'm wondering if John came from there too. There was a John Leadley living in Bridlington about that time who may have moved south after a court case but there does not seem to be any way of finding out if it was the same man.
Parrot or Parrott
I am interested in this family that were big in Patrington in the 1800s
