I'm searching for additional information on th MUMBY family of Yorkshire, starting with Thomas b1914 (m cir 1937 Ethel Rice-Watson), his father Isaac Richardson MUMBY b 1883 (m 1910 Ethel Mary TATUM), his father Thomas Mumby b 1841 (m 1841 Martha Richardson), and his father Thomas Mumby (m 1840 Ann Leak. Here's where I hit the brick wall with the Mumby name. I get back 3 more generations on the Leak(e) side, including the surnames Wilson & Lock (Leck). All were living (mostly) in parts of Yorkshire, including Paull, Hedon, Hustwaite. Have much other info in the way of siblings and children, so if I can help fill some blanks & break a brickwalll myself, let me know.

Would any descendants of Joseph and his wife Madeleine Smart. please get in touch. Their family, now all deceased, were Gertrude Maria,1880 (I think she married a Percy, I have memories of them). Mary Beatrice 1881, Joseph William 1886, Charles Ernest 1891 (married Annie Cook 1914), George Henry b.1888, and Edith Florence b.1876. I remember a Madeline Wood living in Beverley during the second world war. I think there are still some Woods in the green grocer/market garden trade in Hull, sons of Josephs children, or perhaps even grandsons.

William's occupation was a Fish and grocery merchant. He resided in 20 Charles Street Hull formany years with his family he was on the 1861 '71 '81 census. His wife was called Martha Shearer born in Cottingham (Hull) who I have never found on any census (except for after her marriage to William) or marriage cert. I have not proved a birth ofWilliam Wood although I think it could be right because of the names of his children. I would be grateful for any information on thse people. I think there are still Woods in Hull in the Green grocery /Market Garden trade. I would like to hear from them.

red mail Knight, Hull
Am researching family of Charles & Christiana Knight who were in Kingston on Hull at least first half 19c. Is anyone else interested in this family?
Daniel & Catherine Macaulay moved from Govan to Hull pre 1888. Their son James married Bertha Hurdman at Sculcoates on 07.04.1888. James' & Bertha's children were:- Kate (1888) married Arthur Stephenson. Daniel (1890) married Alice. George (1892). Mary (1894) married Walter Revell. Bertha (1895) married Alfred Jennings. James (1898) married Daisy Myers. Mabel (1900) Thomas Matson. Elsie (1903). Doris (1905) married Frank Flitton. John (1908) married Elizabeth Shaw. Alice (1910) married James Gillard.
Doy, James & Charlotte Circa 1900/10
James & Charlotte (nee Butcher) moved to Hull from Lowestoft. Two of their sons married into my family: William Mun Doy married Gertrude Cooke, younger sister to my grandmother, Albertha Sabina Cooke. Robert Doy married Albertha's eldest daughter, my aunt, Albertha Sabina Gillard in 1919.
Foote, Fanny Ashford, Circa 1900.
Fanny Ashford Foote, born Plymouth circa 1852, married Edward Gillard in December 1871. Her father may have been a fisherman or Customs House Officer.
