Hi I'm looking for any info on John colston who lived in the holorn area in the late 1700's he married a elisabeth Robinson and they had 2 children John and fanny I think elisabeth died soon after fanny was born . I was hoping for more info on John snr mother and father or siblings

John Briggs, pawnbroker, (son of Timothy Briggs and Lettice nee Preston) and Susannah of Acton (dau. of Robert Mumford and Ann Sparrow) resided at St. Sephulchre late 1700s./ Issue: Elizabeth 1785, Charles 1788, Mary 1790, Sarah 1792, Louisa 1794, Henry Sparrow 1798, George 1798./ Henry Sparrow Briggs emigrated to NSW 1823.

The only details I have are that she married Charles Eyles on 18 Apr 1843 in St Sepulchre, Northampton. At some stage they emmigrated to Australia and then later to New Zealand. Any help gratefully received. Cheers Kathy NZ

George Stepto b abt 1793 in St Sepulchre was a butcher. First wife unknown, son George Stepto married Phoebe Prudent and not found in censuses after 1841. Second marriage to Amelia Tempero in 1827. Children Mary Ann 1838, Penelope Burr 1839 d 1845, Henry Stepto 1842, Jane Amelia 1846, Louisa 1847, Penelope Burr 1849 d 1851. Probable siblings of George Stepto include William, also a butcher, Mary Ann, Harriet, Susanna Peace, Selina His father was John Stepto mar Mary Wood in 1790. Is anyone else tracing Stepto, particularly if butchers

Is the James Cutler born 21 January 1782 at the Lying-in Hospital, Endell Street, the one who maried Elizabeth Age (Edge?) at St Martin in the Fields in 1799? Would welcome contact from Cutler researchers interested in Holborn, latterly Kennington and Lambeth. William Henry Cutler 1819-1877, a bricklayer, married Emma, sometimes Emily, Mulberry 1849; they had at least 2 children, one of whom Ellen (Nellie) Cutler 1866-1949 was my great-grandmother.

William Thompson christened at St Sepulchre's in 1817, his father Richard was a lawyer and they lived in Hosier Lane which is opposite Barts Hospital, does anyone have any information on Richard Thompson, I am unable to trace him or his marriage his wife's name was Jane Thanks

Francis Thomas Cook(e) was baptised at St Sepulchre London April 23, 1780, the son of Francis Lewis (Lewes) Cook(e) and Elizabeth Peachell who married at St Botolph London Dec 25, 1770. Other children of Francis and Elizabeth also bapt St Sepulchre - Francis 1771, Susanna Frances 1773, Francis Richard 1775, Edward Richard 1777 and Elizabeth 1779. Francis Thomas had 8 children with a Johanna Stafford (bapd Sunderland 1777). One of their children, James Syble Cook(e), my great great grandfather, was born about 1822.
