Robert Ernest Gibson b 1850 - London Married Nora Flanagan b 1848 On Roberts death certificate it is very difficult to read his fathers christian name - we have been given Melhoen but have no idea . Robert emigrated with Nora to NZ in 1874 and had one child Ernest Stanley. Perhaps those names are a clue to Roberts family names? He divorced Nora and remarried Ellen Wellon in England around 1900.

Seeking connections to John GOODWIN (b.1811 in Hemingford Grey, Huntingtonshire) who married Keturah CALCUTT (b1813 Combe, Oxfordshire). John was originally in the Grenadier Guards then later in the Royal Artillery. He was based at Woolwich in 1859 as a 'Barracks Seargent'. Their children were born between 1836 and 1859: Jane, Caroline, Mary Ann, Eva Matilda, Elizabeth, John, Fanny, Louisa and Charles who was also in the Grenadier Guards. Most of their children were born in central London (Westminster area). I would be very interested to hear from anyone who has any possible connection or additional information.

I am researching the descendants of John KING Bishop of London to see if he is connected to the Blundell family I am researching in Brisbane NSW, Australia. Phillip King and Elizabeth Edmunds were his parents and John King was born 1559 Worminghall,Bucks, England and died on 30 March 1621 at St Pauls Cathedral London. So far I know he had two sons - Henry King born 1591 Chichester,Sussex,England and baptised with his brother John on 16 Jan 1592. Henry died 30 Sept 1669. He was the Bishop of Chichester and also a famous poet. His first wife Anne Berkeley died in 1624 (married 1617)and he remarried to ???. John King, Bishop of London married Joane Freeman. She was born 1562 Staffs, England to Henry Freeman (mother unknown). It was allegedon someones genealogy on the net that John King was related to this Blundell line hence I want to prove it by working backwards to John King. So far I have worked it back to a Thomas King born 1698 Dunton, Bedfordshire and his wife Sarah (unknown). Anyone on this lineage?

I am trying to locate information on Philip and Serena Leman. Philip was born Dec 2, 1818. I believe Serena was his sister. Philip came to the United States about 1832. The only information I have is he was born in London. I don't know how to narrow the search down to where to look. I have information once he came to the States but I want to find his parents. Philip died in a shipwreck in 1853 and I am trying to locate a death certificate with the hopes it will list his parents. Serena wasmarried to David Frank from Poland. In the 1850 census she and David were living with Philip and his family in Missouri. The only information I have was she too was born in London. A family member has recently told me she has a photo of Serena Leman, which has led me to believe she was Philip's sister. If these names sound familiar or if anyone could offer some suggestions how to narrow down the search for their families I would love to hear. I am willing to share any information I have. Dee

Looking for any information on Charles Hider B 12 Mar 1805 and CH 30 Jun 1805 at St Anne Soho Westminster London. Charles M Sarah Blackman C 1 Jan 1841 at St George in the East London. Charles died 21 Oct 1859 and was buried at High Road Hammersmith. Charles and Sarah had at least one child (I haven't found anymore yet) a son Charles Hider B 9 Jan 1835 and he was CH on 12 Apr 1835 at Walworth Beresford Street Calvinist Independent Southwark Surrey. He died 26 Apr 1922 in South Australia. Charles (B 1835) M Eliza Morgan on 4 Sep 1869 and they had a son Francis Alexander Hider B C 1878. Francis M Mary Florence Walker 23 Jan 1904. Francis died 10 Jun 1957 in South Australia. Mary died 16 Sep 1954. Francis and Mary had three children - Marshall Francis (my Grandfather)(B 8 Nov 1904), Howard Walker (B 30 Apr 1907), and Daphne Florence (B 29 Apr 1913. I need information to verify that Charles (B 1835) is my GGG-Grandfather. Or any information relating to these names would be of help.

I am particularly interested in James Chittleburgh, a brushmaker born in 1802 at St Mary's Whitechapel, and his son John William Chittleburgh, born 1854 in St Luke's, London. The family seem to have moved around London, starting in the St Pancras area and working their ways south to Lambeth in the late 19th Century. I am searching for info on where my 7th great-grandfather may have hailed (what part of England)from, in order to search for his parentage, etc..He is Thomas High, b. abt. 1647 in England (where in England?) d. 1687 in Surrey Co., Virginia. Thomas came to Virginia in 1660 where he is listed as a 'headsman.' He therefore came to Virginia when he was abt. 13 years old. No info has been found as to what ship he came on or if he came with anyone else. John LANE was born 23 July 1839 in London to Michael LANE & Bridget CAMION. He had two sisters and a brother who were younger than he was. His father died when he was young. His mother was a fruitseller but was alcoholic. John was sent to Australia under a scheme to 'help' disadvantaged children. He arrived in Western Australia in 1854 and married my great grand aunt Virtue EACOTT in 1864. I would be most interested to learn more about what happened to his brother and sisters. They lived in Charles St., King St., and Drury Lane in London.

I am trying to trace my only cousins, Stephen b 1951 and Linda Hoare b 1953?, children of Patrick Hoare by his first marriage to Valerie. We used to see each other at my grandmother's house in Kilburn. Thomas Parker was transported for burglary on the William Miles to Van Diemen's Land in 1828. He was a Farrier's Boy and committed burglary on Tottenham Court Road in London. He was tried at Middlesex G.D on 31st May 1827. His convict record tellsus he had a sister Sarah Parker at Battle Bridge, who was married to a hawker named Cately. Thomas also stated he worked for a Mr Wilsden, costermonger "travelling about". He was 18 at the time of transportation. If anyone has any info onthe Catelys or Thomas' parents/siblings I would be most interested to hear of them. Kim in Tasmania

Am looking for information about the TREVILLION/TREVALLION (and variants) family in London pre-1830. My ggg-grandfather, Thomas Trevillion, was a cabinetmaker and furniture broker in the St. Luke's area during the period ca. 1800-1840. His father James Trevillion/Trevallion was also a cabinetmaker. Thomas had at least 4 siblings: William, Frederick, Anne, and Frances. Thomas married Mary Ould in 1817 and christened numerous children in the Finsbury area and environs.

George was a Master Mariner and listed as deceased on his son's marraige certificate. I have no idea if the Sharps originated in Wapping or not, Sarah Reynolds was born in Tidebrook Wadhurst on 12th Decenber 1869.
