red mail Davis Family of Wichenford
I am interested in any information about the Edward Davis family who lived in Tabwell Cottage near Martley. Edward was born in Wichenford in about 1825and married Eliza Morgan in 1852 ;the family lived in the Martley area for many years. Edward was my great grandfather--his son James Davis was my grandfather. I believe I have identified Edward's father as Richard Davis who I believe was marrried to Elizabeth Hartland; Richard's father was also named Richard and lived in Wichenford--married to Mary ? I am particularly interested in what happened to Edith Louisa Davis, daughter of Emily Louisa Davis (daughter of Edward Davis) whose father is unknown but who remained part of her mother's family after Emily's marriage to William Parker. Edith Louisa does not appear in any of the census reports after 1891 and I have not found any record of her death or marriage. Any information about the Davis family would be appreciated.
