I am looking for my fathers family of MITCHELLS from around Selly Oak (Dawlish rd or blossom Lane) Three brothers married three sisters HARRY married Rose WARD and his two brothers married Amee Ward and Annie Ward. Harry workedin a foundry and had five childre, he died in 1911 from heart disease, Rose remarried a man called Mr Silvester and had two more children before emigrating to AUSTRALIA with all her chidren minus Silvester. If you had a gran by the name of amee mitchel or annie mitchell from around that area I would love to hear from you.

Ian Brown,who lived in Hubert Road in Selly Oak, and Worked at Tesco Northfield, In the Mid 1970s. He moved from Hubert Rd to Quinton, And also lived in Little-Hill-Way Bartley Green. Where I lost contact with him. After working with him for a sort while at a Chocolate confection Company in Woodgate Lane, Now Called (Woodthorpe House) After Athur Woodthorpe who was the owner. Ian was a shy kind of person, back then and went out with me whilst working at Tesco. but never got to explain way he did not want to go with me anymore, and I feel my parents interfered as they did with all my relationships. I have heard rumors that Ian died but can find no evidence of this.

Harry Horsfall Sands, son of Joseph Walker Sands, formed a family with the domestic servant, Jane Kimberley, who worked for them in the 1880s. Harry assumed the surname Kimberley and the couple had 3 children: Harry Kimberley, Edward Horsefall and Ernest John Kimberley. In 1901 the were living in Hubert Road, Northfield nr Bham. Other Kimberleys were in Selly Oak, especially in and around Dawlish Road.

They lived for a short time in Chapel Lane then moved to 49 Gleave Road (1901 census). Annie (w 1902) Beattie & Lizzie + family moved to Northfield in 1935
