Sarah Hunt
Sarah Hunt is a direct ancestor of mine. She was born 30/1/1789 and baptised 1/4/1789 at Worcester Street Independent and Baptist Chapel. Her parents were Thomas and Ann Hunt. I am trying to find out anything I can about Thomas and Ann to push back into history a bit. Is anyone researching this family or (more likely) does anyone have access to the Chapel records?
red mail Help
Hello I'm looking for any information really. My Nans mom died I giving birth to her. she was married to a Bertie Andrew fletcher her name was Florence fletcher (maiden name webley) my mom is doing family research and has hit a dead end with her, she has found info on Bertie but Florence is a no go there are no death records I can only imagine she died in the hospital as it was a difficult birth my nan was a twin and unfortunately the twin also died. But there seems to be no history we are even starting to wonder if she died now or if maybe there were other circumstances given the loss of a child But there are no death records at all later or of the time suspected. Any information would be appreciated Michaela

The Noke(s) family Worcester
I am looking for help with researching the Noke family in Worcester, having arrived at a brick wall with Edward Nokes. The marriage certificate for 4th October 1866 states that after Banns Edward Nokes age 20 years, a bachelor and Sawyer by profession living in the parish of St Clements marries Elizabeth William Ball age 22 years, a spinster living in the parish of St Clements at the parish church of St Clements, Worcester. Their first child, Edward, is born in the fourth quarter of 1866; making it a close call. Edward & Elizabeth have 3 further children, the last one Charles being born in the Union Workhouse, Tallow Hill, Worcester in 1876. Edward is absent from the 1871 census, and by 1881 Elizabeth is described as the household head. Equally I have been unsuccessful to locate a burial or death certificate for Edward or evidence for criminal activity. Elizabeths parents William & Sarah Ball continue to support Elizabeth and her four children, even after Elizabeths untimely death at age 41 years - confirmed by her death certificate. In other words, Edward is the absent father and equally may like Elizabeth die at an early age - presumably around 1876 when his fourth child Charles is born in the workhouse. The 1861 census shows the Ball family living in one of the courts in The Pinch, Hylton Road, Worcester - this was one of the most poorest, overcrowded and unsanitary dwelling places in Worcester. Edward Nokess father is also called Edward and his stated profession is Buttonmaker, which brings my investigations to Bromsgrove, where buttonmaking is a recognised occupation and not so in Worcester. I have identified a Nokes family in Bromsgrove, and head of the household is Edward Nokes a buttonmaker and Methodist Lay Preacher and a son named Edward age 13 years in the 1861 census. So have I identified the correct Edward Nokes and can anyone bring further information to the story? Thank you, in anticipation
