red mail William Collins md in Blockley, 1799
William Collins and Elizabeth Broadway were married in Blockley in 1799 and lived in Paxton. They had 6 children: John, Joseph, Henry (1), Henry (2), Thomas and Elizabeth. We are looking for the birth place and family of this William Collins - he was born about 1766 but we don't know where. There is some suspicion that perhaps he was an Irish navvy who came over to work on the canals...but living in Paxton for 40 years? This is NOT the other, unrelated William Collins born about 1780 in Longborough, Glouscestershire who was living in Blockley in the same time period (to 1841).
