Simon Watts,had a large family with several weavers in this family.His wife may have been Sarah Cogswell. One son William (WORTHY) born 1826 emigrated to Australia in 1848 or 1849.(My G.G.Grandfather.)This Family attended Hilperton Wesleyan Chapel when a Preacher Mr James Hooper was leader. Children of Simon included James b. 1842. Eli b. 1848 ( em. U.S.A.)Charlotte b. 1824.Simon Jnr. b. 1827. also Matilda b ? CAN ANYONE ASSIST WITH MORE KNOWLEDGE PLEASE. Looking for help in finding birth town or village for Robert Barnett and Jane Swayn. They were married in 1813 in Hilperton. They had three sons Mark,Giles and Luke and a daughter Jane. Children all born in Hilperton between 1819 and 1825. Census records confirm birth of Robert and Jane 1791 and 1788 respectively in County of Wiltshire. Robert had one brother that we know of. James born 1793 he married Sarah Chapman in Trowbridge 1816. Giles Barnett married James daughter Rachel in Trowbridge 1842 came to USA in 1850. Luke (direct line) married Matilda Robbins in Trowbridge 1853 and came to USA in 1860. If any of this sounds familiar,please contact me to share info.

Seeking descendants of Nancy Ford (nee Dean) or Henry James Ford around 1891. She was my great grandmother, born abt 1855 in Hazelbury Plucknett, Somerset Married HJ Ford in Cardiff 1883 and last listed in Hilperton. Also unable to trace Henry James Ford after marriage.

Moody family lived at the Marsh and attended Hilperton Strict Baptist (closed) chapel from about 1810. The Gingells moved to Hilperton from Melksham around 1800 and the Gumms from Seend around 1880.
