They returned to Heytesbury after marriage and first child born there in 1823. He may have been a boatman - is there a river link between Heytesbury and Child Okeford? From an Australian descendant.

Hello out there I am sure I am not the only looking for Fields Most of my family came from Heytesbury and Warminster and worked in the area my great grandfather was a plate layer on the railway and the whole family were very much involved in the Congregational church which doesnot exsist any more hope to from somebody soon

My grandfather was born in Heytesbury and his mother was Eliza Pike born 1845 at Knook,the daughter of John Pike and Jane ne Cowdry.John was also born at Knook.Other ancestors in the family lived in and around Heytesbury,also in the Edington & Tinhead area of Wiltshire.I would be pleased to be contacted by anyone with a link. The family also links directly back to the Guy clan of Horningsham and later Edington and also the Richardsons of Heytesbury.

She was the daughter of William Williams b 1898 and Dorothy Plowman Williams b 1900 in Iwerne Minster, Dorset. William was an estate blacksmith and they lived at 21 Stockton.
