I am trying to find the parents & correct date of birth of James Harding ,born about 1794 in East Knoyle . He married Maria Merchant in 1816 in East Knoyle ,daughter of Silas & Elizabeth Merchant , & went on to have at least 9 children. In 1822 he is listed as a carver at son James baptism & in 1841, at a double wedding of 2 of his children ,he is listed as a butcher. I would also like a date of death which is sometime between 1841 & 1851. Any help would be most appreciated, thank-you

Son of Henry Taylor and Mary Gattrell married 30 December 1793 Bishops Fonthill. William was transported to NSW in 1822 after robbing the landlord - Mr Stride - of the Crown Inn Hindon of a tablecloth and other goods.

I am trying to trace the history of Herbert James Ford whose parents lived in the village. Herbert was shot down over Tobruk inLibya on the night of the 16th july 1942. He was a flight sergeant on a wellington bomber on which was my wife's uncle, Ronald Cecil Drake was the wirelees operator. The pilot was a Canadian by the name of Bennetto. I know that all the members of the bomber were killed and I know that 4 of them, including Herbert are buried in the war cemetery in Tobruk. Is their anybody who can tell me if their any relatives alive who can help in any way. Herbert's parents were Bertie James Ford and Lillian Eliza Ford. Many thanks Many thanks
