Box family of Broughton Gifford 1840+
Looking for connection with Mary, Sarah Jane and William Box christened circa 1840's. Father was Daniel Box and mother was Edith (nee Hewston or similar). Mary and probably William (at least) traveled to Victoria, Australia with Mary marrying in 1865.
Dark Families
I'm looking for information about the DARK family of Broughton Gifford who were yeomen there in the 18th and early centuries. I have found a considerable amount of information in the Wiltshire Record Office which relates to both the family and the parish and would be happy to share with any cousins. My line there is Thomas Dark who is probably the son of Isaac and Ann Dark b 1796 who married his cousin Sarah DARK b 1793 daughter of Stephen and Mary in Corsham in 1816. Thomas was overseer of thepoor in Ramsbury at the baptism of his daughter Anne Sarah Earle DARK in Feb 1825 and he was buried in 1825 in Broughton Gifford, described as of Ramsbury. Sarah migrated with her children and brother-in-law Benjamin DARK to NY from Bristol in 1834.Suella Fogg Postles
