red mail Three Crowns Inn
My Paternal Great Grandfather Richard Cole is shown in the 1891 census as Licensee of the Three Crowns. Kelly's 1895 directory shows the Licensee as Charles Burrows so Richard had left by then. I'm trying to get a more accurate time as to when he left the Three Crowns (he was in Manchester by 1901) but i'm told the Petty Sessions records for Malmesbury only go back to 1911. Has anyone any ideas as to whether there are any other records that might help? Thanks. Ken

red mail Mayor of Brinkworth
My family were given some photos many years ago from a retired GP in Wootton Bassett and may be from his family (he had no children to pass them on to). The photos appear to date from the 1880's. Some of the photos have the date 19/8/1881. One of the photos has on the back 'Mayor Brinkworth, Muriels Uncle', another has 'Muriels Aunt Lily Brinkworth Mayor (then illegible writing)'. The last has 'W.?.J.B. Grandmother Brinkworth'. If any one can cast any light on these I would appreciate the help. Thank you in advance. Sharon.
