red mail William Crouch
I am searching for information about the family of William Crouch born 1795 in Barford St Martin. It is possible that his parents were Robert Crouch and Mary Osman but as they were married in 1791 in Hampshire i cannot be certain. Any information gratefully received.
red mail John Dawkins
I have a John Dawkins bc. 1796 in Barford St. Martin who married Arabella b.c. 1796 Broadchalke. They had two children Arabella b.c. 1816 and Albert b.c. 1826. I am trying to trace the birth of John Dawkins in Barford St. Martin if anyone has come across this name.
red mail Barford St Martin
James Roberts (born about 1788 - I do not know where - and buried 1st January 1834 in Stalbridge) who subsequently lived in Stalbridge married a woman called Ann who was born in Barford St Martin around 1800. I have no trace of her former name but I am presuming that they were married in her home parish and as their first child was born in 1823, I imagine they must have been married just before that. If anyone has access to parish records and could trace this marriage I would be most grateful. The first of Ann's children were named Mariah and Henry and as it was traditional to name after a relative or parent this may be a clue.
Barford St Martin baptisms and burials
I have a register of Barford baptisms and burials 1627-1837 and am willing to do any look ups. Details listed include dates and parentage.
red mail JEMIMA VINEY
JEMIMA VINEY m 1820 Barford St. Martin to ELI WILKINS, Shoemaker later Inn Keeper and Brewer. Family moved to I.O.W. c1840. JEMIMA is connected in some way to LEONARD/REBECCA HINTON also of Barford but born/buried at Corsley. Any details on JEMIMA would be most welcome. Jane
red mail PLOWMAN
The Plowman family were stonemasons and lived in Barford from the late 18th to late 19th century. Some 8 ancestors are buried in the parish church yard. The name Hercules and Archelaus appears often the last dying locally in 1925. I have a huge family tree of over 850 names and willing to share with any relatives however distant. Francis Plowman
