red mail Aldbourne World War 1
For the last 5+ years I have been researching the men from Aldbourne who served in WW1 with a view to writing a book. I already do talks and presentations locally on the subject. My research includes the casualties, survivors and even those who moved into the village at a later date. I am always on the lookout for more information and photos (in uniform, in later life or even as a child) so if you think you can help me, please drop me a line! Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Many thanks.
Double Death Mystery
Husband and wife William and Elizabeth Fowler were both buried in Aldbourne on 10th February 1837. They were both in their forties. Howcome they both died at the same time? Was there a contagious disease in Aldbourne at that time, or could they have perished in an accident? They died before the advent of death certificates so I dont know how to find out what happened to them
