Looking for the families (parents, grandparents NOT children) of William HILL and Sarah ETHERIDGE who were married in Whichford in April 1797. They are both on the 1851 census in Upton on Severn, both aged 79 and both say their place of birth was Stourton, Warwickshire. I have been unable to find their baptism in any nearby parishes around the years 1770-1775.

I am searching for info on my grandfathers brother, Benjamin Wheeler born Pattingham Staffs. 17-06-1889 and was buried at St Michaels Church Whichford 12-05-1972. He married Ethel May Holder of Gloucester- 09-1910. They had children, Leonard Edward, Miriam Maude (Betteridge), Doris (Bradley) and Phyllis (Hitchman)

Emmets Matthews, b.about 1801, wife Eliza b. about 1808, lived in whichford all their lives. Emmets died 1875. His son THOMAS married Emma Moore of Cambridge in 1865 in Islington, where he died 1879.Thomas & Emma's daughter Annie Eliza Matthews wasmy paternal grandmother.
