red mail Where are Hand Written docs
I have been searching for the birth of William Sabin born Warwick 1862. I visited the CRO warwick todaybut still can not locate him. All the Birth records are copies of type written documents. To my way of thinking, they were probably hand written first, then transcribed. If that is the case there may have been a transcribing error. In that case where do I find the original hand written ones. Any help appreciated. Coral.
EZRA OWEN
Ezra born 1877 to Robert and Mary Owen. The 1901 census records him living with his mother at 17,Hampton St Warwick St Mary and his occupation Tram Conductor. All information greatly appreciated.
Robert and Mary Owen
My GGP's were Robert born 1827 at North Nibley Gloucestershire and Mary born c 1800 Tipperary Ireland. My first location of R.O - after his birth - was the 1841 census recording him living with his mother, also Mary, at Back Lane Wotton-under Edge. Until 1866 I was unable to locate him. I obtained the birth certificate of my GF - also Robert - recording he was born at The Armory Barracks Cirensester - know known as Cecily Barracks - on the 10th May 1866, father recorded as Robert Owen Staff Sergeant and mother as Mary, maiden name Litchfield - more of this later. The 1871 census records the family living at 30,Eglantine Place Wotton-under-Edge Gloucs: and in addition to Robert - son was Mary daughter and Henrietta Litchfield step daughter. On this census my GGF was recorded as a Pensioner !! I subsequently learned my GGF had been admitted as a Brother to The Lord Leycester Hospital in Warwick. In the mean time the family were now living at 17, Hampton St, Warwick St Mary, and the family now had the addition of Ada, Ezra, and Ruben. My main interest is to obtain information of my GGF's military service. The Master -Lord Leycester Hospital - informed me all records of the Brother's, prior to 1920 are located at the Record Office at Warwick in file CR 1600. In addition to living in Essex there are a couple of reasons preventing me from visiting Warwick. Back to Henrietta, researching her background I discovered her mother had previously been married to a Sergeant Thomas Litchfield of the 51st Regiment and that she was born at the South Barracks Walmer Kent on the 24 th November 1858 and, her mother's maiden name was Pearce from Tipperary. I would welcome any information you may possess.

red mail George Samuel Willitts
George Samuel Willitts and Emma (38 Smith Street in 1881) and family appear in the census of 1871 in Warwick St Nicholas but misspelled as Willetts and George incorrectly as George D. In the misspelled Willitts family in 1871 is the eldest son Arthur E H Willitts (born 1860 or 61). Arthur E H (also misspelled as Willetts in 1881 census), had moved from the family to Droitwich by 1881. 1861 Census has Emma and Arthur E H (correctly spelt) in Warwick St Mary, Emma is shown as daughter so guess visiting family. George S is again spelt as Willetts and the rest of his family (spelt Willetts) can be deduced including Mother and Father, all at Warwick St Nicholas William J (or F) appears to be a brother of George and he appears in 1871 married to Fanny and again in 1901 with Fanny as Willitts. Arthur E H Willitts appears in 1891 census and as just Arthur Willitts in 1901 census, married to Clara A and by 1901 living in Worcester with Arthur M, Annie M, Richard Harry (missing from 1901 census), Allwyne (interpreted as Hurpine from the census), Gladys and Donald all born in Droitwich or Ombersley Worcestershire. Donald has one surviving son David. David nor his brother (possibly Richard, no longer alive) had children. Richard Harry had one son John (my dad, no longer alive). Allwyne was killed in WW1 as possibly was Arthur M. David and my son are the last direct lines from Arthur E H Willitts.
