Arthur and Lavinia Cox were my grandparents both born in the late 1800s.They lived in Harbourne in Birmingham. They divorced sometime after WW2 and my grandmother followed my mother and her sons to the States. My Grandfather sold the house in Birmingham and married his secretary. Her sister was Mary but she died of the flu in 1918. I know the family goes back to New Castle on my Grandmothers side and Wales on my Grandfathers side. I am just wondering if I have cousins out there from my Grandmothers brothers. Or if my Grandfather had any children from his second wife. It would be great to find any lost English relatives. I think he died in 1957 or 1958. Needless to say I am in the States.

He was a brass bedstead worker (as were many other of the Ward family) until he enlisted with the Royal Welsh Fusiliers & served in WWI at the Somme where he was gassed rendering him unfit for further service & was discharged from the army on 2/8/1917. red mail Minnie French/Worsey
I am looking for information concerning my grandfather's sister Minnie French born about 1880. Her father was Robert French who died in Birmingham in 1880, and her mother was Sarah Ann French (nee Taylor) who died in 1900. Sarah Ann remarried in 1881 after the death of Robert to Ernest Alfred Worsey. Her children (Eliza, George Frederick, Daisy May and Minnie) all took her new husbands name as in the 1891 and 1901 censuses they are shown as Worsey. This may have been to avoid complications for them after Sarah Ann had four more children with Ernest Worsey, and to ensure they all had the same surname. However, they all reverted to the name of French when they married. Any information concerning whether Minnie married, date of her death, and where she lived will prove very interesting during my family research. I would be most grateful if anyone can help me.
