James O'Brien
I am trying to find out more about my great grandfather James O'Brien. He was probably born around 1846. We know that he left Plymouth on the 3rd July 1863 on board the Ida Zeigler and arrived in Auckland New Zealand on 4 Oct 1863. He was listed as a messenger boy to a Major J F Moore. James married in 1868 giving his age as 22 years. He died on 15 Sept 1915 aged 70. His death certificate tells us his father was William and his mother Margaret, maiden name Cardiff. Any ideas anyone. Thanks from NZ Sarah

Can't find Jane's birth registered anywhere (her father is Harry Farrell), no record of Farrell/McLean marriage or the death of Annie's father Harry McLean.
