Fogarty family from Roscrea, Tipperary
I am looking for relatives of my great great grandparents, Patrick Fogarty and his wife Catherine Fogarty, nee Bergin. Patrick was born in Roscrea in 1815; his parents were Patrick Fogarty, farmer, and his wife Johanna Fogarty, nee Hooley. Catherine's parents were William Bergin, and his wife Ellen Bergin, formerly Carey. Catherine was born in Roscrea in 1810. Patrick and Catherine were married in Roscrea in about 1835, and had children born in Ireland, William Fogarty (1840), Nellie Fogarty, Annie Fogarty (1845), Patrick Fogarty, Eliza (Elizabeth) Fogarty (1841) and John Fogarty. The family migrated, probably in two groups, to Melbourne, Victoria, Australia between 1854 and 1856. They settled at Beveridge, on the north road out of Melbourne and farmed. My great grandmother Elizabeth Fogarty, married Daniel Allen in Sydney, in 1862, and they set up house in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, Australia, where they had five children, three of whom survived past infancy, Alfred Frederick Allen, born 1869, William John Allen, born 1871 and Charles Arthur Allen, born 1873. Elizabeth Allen, nee Fogarty died in 1875 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.. Her parents died in 1890 (Patrick Fogarty) and 1897 respectively (Catherine Fogarty). Patrick Fogarty died in 1890 at Beveridge, Victoria, Australia. His Death Certificate discloses that only two of his children survived him, William and Annie and that three children Patrick, Eliza and John were deceased. Catherine Fogarty, his wife, died in 1897, at Guildford, Mt Alexander, Victoria, Australia. Her Death Certificate discloses that only Annie survived her and that the other children listed as deceased were William, Nellie, Patrick, Eliza and Johnnie.

Looking for information on parents, relatives, or contemporaries of Denis DeWane, baptized in St. Cronan's Catholic Church March 9, 1832 in Roscrea, Diocese of Killaloe, County Tipperary. Parents were Denis D-Wane (b.~1800) and Mary Meagher (b.~1800). Sponsors were Judy White and Denis D-Wane. Denis D-Wane Sr. & Mary Meagher (also spelled Maher) had 6 children total: Mary Ann Dewane (b. Jan. 11, 1823 -- married John Cooney); Bridget Dewane (b. Feb. 6, 1825 -- married Patrick Ryan); John Dewane (b. Oct. 18, 1828 -- married Mary Finnel); Denis D-Wane (b. Mar. 4, 1832, info above, -- married Margaret Scanlan); James Dewane (b. Nov. 1832, tho info seems off because of Denis's birthdate -- married Mary Lynch), Timothy Dewane (b. Apr. 15, 1834 -- married Bridget Cook). The family reportedly left IRE around 1851, but various stories provide conflicting information about traveling groups and dates. It is believed that they sailed into New York. I believe the Whites are somehow related, but am unsure of how - would like to know. Would love to find any living descendants or relatives in IRE or USA, too.
