red mail World War 2 Casualties of Nuthurst
I am trying to trace the names of those who lost their life during the Second World War and had a connection to the parish of Nuthurst in Horsham, W.Sussex. Those traced so far are Private Les Wylie, Sargeant Albert Woolgar, Leading Aircraftman John Tomlinson, Sergeant Charles Stepney, Third Engineer Officer Ronald Pacey, Sergeant Edmund Clifford, Gunner Charles Knight, and Sergeant Frank Knight. The PCC wishes to honour their name by creating a WW2 War Memorial to compliment the WW1 memorial already at the parish church. An original Book of Remembrance that once resided at the church and contained all the names, mysteriously disappeared 20 years ago! If you know anything about these men, or in particular know of others, I would be very pleased to hear from you. Many thanks, Derek
