red mail Alfred or Naomi Barham
I am looking for information on Alfred Barham who lived at Mayfield Sussex at the time of the 1901 census. he lived with his daughter, Naomi and they had a "nurse child" named Nellie "Earls" which was a mistake as her last name was really Earle. Nellie Earle was my maternal grandmother. Nellie was 11 at the time of the census; she then emmigrated to Canada as a domestic in 1907. I guess if there are photos or people who might have known about Alfred Barham or his daughter, I'd love to hear from them.

red mail blackman
Searching for Blackman's who emigratged to Ohio in the time of Cowboys and Indians. "Dad’s Uncle emigrated to the US and settled in Iowa. That was in the days when the Indians would attack the white people, burn their ranches etc. There was a book on this period which mentioned these people which belonged to Alice and Eunice Anscomb who lived on Alexander Road in Heathfield. I know that my brother, Ken and I both read this book at one time and tried to get a copy of it at various printing and distributing houses in London. We were not successful. The Anscomb’s had relatives in Ireland. I believe their brother’s name, who visited them at once was Will. I do not know which part of Ireland he came from. Ken might know as maybe my recollections will help to jog his memory. When I first came to the U.S. Myrtle gave me lots of leads as to where various relatives were but I never followed them up. I cannot remember any of Dad’s family coming to our home. Maybe Rose being much older than I could help in this direction". These are details from a Great aunt's letter. She was born in 1918, so the Uncle would have been one of Thomas Blackman (Roberts b.1832/3)children.
