William Duke
My William Duke was born in Lyminster c 1798 and died in Steyning in 1839, he was a butcher. There is no baptism for him, but I believe that there is a 'Duke/Olliver' tree. William's grandson, Frank Duke, used the name 'Olliver' for one of his children. William mentioned a nephew, also William Duke, in his Will. This William lived in Littlehampton, and was a butcher. If anyone can help, I would be very grateful.
red mail Blake family
Looking for info on the ancestry of Charles and Joseph Blake who MAY have been born in Lyminster (then Leominster, Sussex) in the late 18th century. Believe they were the sons of Charles Blake and Elizabeth Overington. Charles junior was married atLyminster church in the 1820s. There seem to have been Blakes in Lyminster way back in the 1600s and then there's a gap until the 1800s. Charles junior then moved to Littlehampton and I have a good trail on his descendants, but it's his ancestorsI'm after. He may have been related to Francis Blake of Climping.
