red mail Carter - Croydon
Can you help? I am trying to find any more children or grand children born to Ernest George Carter born 1880 died 1951. He already had a family including my grandad Ernest Thomas James Carter born in 1900. The Carter family lived in Napier Road South Croydon. So I hear Ernest George Carter left his wife about 1933 and possible had 2/3 children to another woman. I do not know her name he was (not married to her) as he was never divorced from his wife Emma Carter nee Eades. The children would have been born in the Croydon area in the 1930/40's. Ernest George Carter died at Pawsons Road Croydon in 1951. The new extended family turned up at his death. If you can help .........Please get in touch. Kind Regards Julie.
red mail MABEL KEEN, Croydon, Surrey
Hello. I am seeking info on Mabel Keen. She was my Great Nan's sister and was living with her parents, William Volney Keen and Emma Keen (nee Pilbeam), in Croydon at the date of the 1901 census, when she was 23. My Great Nan was Lillian, known as Lily and was 18 at the time. I can't find anything on Mabel thereafter and the odd thing is no-one in my surviving family has ever heard of her, though they knew and knew of my G-Nan's elder sister, Florence, and her younger brothers (names unknown, possibly Alexander and George). Can anyone tell me how I might search for Mabel please? She may have married but I don't know how to find out.... chances are she didn't as she is unknown to my family, which suggests that she died quite young. My G-Nan married William Laughlin in 1913 and took with her her 2 brothers, bringing them up as her own, as by then their Mother, Emma, was dead. Any info on Emma Keens date of death would be much appreciated too. If anyone could help I would be so very grateful... I really feel poor Mabel deserves to be remembered by us all in the family. Thank you.
