My husband's family had an Emily Collins (nee Walker) b.1883 married to Edward J Collins b.1882 Bermondsey and are in 1911 census 2 Graham St. RG14 1829 23 5 11 357 with some Walker sons. Edward died in 1934 and I think Florence E Collins (daughter) married Edgar A Neal in March 1942. (unconfirmed). Believe Thomas J Collins b.1925 married Lightfoot in March 1953. My husband says Collins family were pigeon racers and he and other Walker brothers would visit from Kempshead St. in Camberwell (pre-WW2). Mother of Emily b.1883 was Walker (nee Pobgee) b.1860 died in 1947 in Harlsden. Perhaps one of these are relatives?
red mail William and Rachel Tyler
William TYLER (b 1778 Colchester, Essex) and Rachel (b 1782 unknown, possibly last name of WALKER) are living in Peckham from at least 1811. William is a Cabinetmaker and Upholsterer living on 38 High Street. Their known children are William (b. 1811), Hephzibah (b 1814), Elisabeth (b 1820) and Ruth (b 1826). William Sr. dies in 1855, Rachel in 1848. Daughter Hephzibah marries James DREW, a mariner and continues to live in the house until her death in 1876. Elizabeth marries James MCNALLY who is a shoemaker and they live next door at 40 High Street until Elizabeth's death in 1896. William Jr. I believe, is also a cabinetmaker and marries Mary FORD and moves to Greenwich. Ruth marries Charles BROWNE. Would like to talk with anyone who is researching this family.

Is anybody out there related to or researching the Davis/Ayres family. Samuel Frank Davis born 1874 in Worcester married Emily Ayres born 1875/76 in Peckham/Deptford. They are my paternal grandparents. They married at Camberwell Registry Office on June 19th 1900 and had 3 children. Ellen Frances born 1901, Samuel Frank Maurice (my dear dad) born 1905 and Lilian Thirza born 1909, all in Peckham. Grandads family came from Worcester and they moved to Peckham in the 1880s and were living at 142 Glengall Road in 1891, and were in the leather trade. Hannah Wallis and Jane Briggs in Peckham
In the 1841 census Hannah Wallis is living in Park Row, Peckham with her children Peter, Hannah, Mary Ann and Thomas. There is also a Jane Beridge in the house who may be a relative. The house next door is occupied by John and Sarah Briggs and Thomas and Mary Ann Ryman and their children. Sarah and Mary Ann are probably sisters and the daughters of Robert Rolf/ Rolfe/ Rolph. By 1851 John Briggs has died and Sarah has remarried, to Henry Ambross. The Ambross family has moved to Bexley Street with Harriet Briggs, who is described as Henry's daughter in law, presumably his step daughter and the second daughter of John and Sarah Briggs nee Rolfe, although I have not found her birth registration. Hannah Wallis Snr, who was born in (Earls?) Barton, Northants is still living in Park Row and has 2 grandchildren living with her. Henry Vint, aged 1, is the son of Hannah Jnr who married Ephraim Vint, a zinc worker. Their marriage certificate shows that Hannah's father was Peter Wallis, a policeman. The Wallis/ Wallace family appear to have been non-conformists with baptisms in Kent and Peckham. The second grand child is Jane Briggs, aged 10, and her birth certificate shows her to be the daughter of John and Sarah Briggs. Their marriage certificate states that neither had been previously married. John Briggs was the son of John Briggs and Sarah the daughter of Robert Rolfe. Has anybody any evidence or family knowledge to explain the relationship between Hannah Wallis senior and Jane Briggs please?
