My ancestors Frederick George Lord and Ellen Simmonds married in Chertsey in 1894. Ellen was born in Bagshot in 1872. Thats is all the info I have on them. Hoping someone can find if they had any children. Cant pin them down in 1901 census.

Looking for any descendant or persons whomay have known this man and his wife Harriet or children. Robert possibly known as Benjamin most of the time was born in Swaffham Norfolk in 1843 to Elizabeth Rose. He lived with his grandparents in Norfolk as his mother married and moved to Australia about 1857 with her husband and younger children. Benjamin/Robert married a lady named Harriett and they lived in Chertsey from 1881 to 1911 where he was a coachpainter. Harriet I think died in 1885 at Chertsey. Children are Ada b. 1867, Jessie b. 1869, Christina b. 1873, Minnie Louise b. 1876, Nellie alice b. 1878,Edgar b. 1880, and Herbert b. 1883., all born in Chertsey. Would love to hear from any one with information as I can share past history in Norfolk.

I am looking for information about my grandmother's siblings and father who lived in Chertsey in the early 1900's. My grandmother Kathleen and her brother Thomas Luke were born in Chertsey around 1900. Their other brother Henry was born 1903 in Ireland. Their father Michael Joseph Green was ex army but was rejected for service in WWI. By 1914 their step-mother had run off leaving the father and 3 kids in Chertsey. Kathleen later married my grandfather George Henry Hopkins from Weybridge but what about her father and siblings? Please help if you can.

My grandfather was a teacher, possibly head, at the school 1880 - 1890. The school has no records going back that far and I would like to know some details. His children were born while he was there and he gave his address as the school from which I assume he lived 'on the premises'. His name was James Sinkings and he came from Devon. Thomas Gillham
I'm looking for information on my grandmother's elder brother, Thomas Gillham (or Gilham), who was born in the Chertsey area c1881. I've traced birth references for her other siblings, but this one eludes me! Gran was the youngest of 13. Their father was Henry Gillham of Horsell and their mother was Mary Tillier of Brox. The family moved to Framfield, Sussex c1891. By the 1901 Census, they'd moved to Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire. Henry, George, Thomas and Harry worked in the local nursery industry there. I am researching my family tree and have come across what may be a relative called Hugh O'Sullivan born in 1914 in Chertsey. During the war in 1942 he was an aircraft fitter. In 1939 he worked in the Kingsway Hotel, Bloomsbury as a porter. Parents- William and ? O'Sullivan (nee Campbell,) William's profession was listed as a journeyman baker. This Hugh migrated to New York, via Southampton in 1948 if it is the same person!

Looking for descendants of a large "Byran" family (12 brother and 1 sister) children of Bryan who owned a large hardware store in the centre of Chertsey a hundred-ish years ago; the land was later used for the first cinema in Chertsey as I understand it. Harold Douglas Bryan is my grand-father (born around 1886ish)on my mothers side. There must be numerous descendants from such a large family or pictures of the hardware store around.
