On behalf of my friend Barbara I am hoping to make contact with Alan L.V. Wells and his family. Alan Wells was born 1931 in Chelsea. Alan married Frances from Hockley Essex. Their children were all born in Ipswich Area, and the family were known to to have lived in Rendlesham, Woodbridge. Children were Michelle, Nicola, Michael J, Stephen, Sara, and Kathryn. Hi, I am trying to locate the birth and any other information about Elizabeth DAVY (DAVEY) b circa 1801 in Woodbridge, Suffolk. That info was obtained from the 1851 Census in All Saints, Newcastle upon Tyne, when she was recorded as age 50. She married John ROBSON in 1822 in All Saints. They had 8 children, (christened as ROBISON or ROBINSON) 4 of each including my Great Grandfather James Robison b 1846. I would be grateful of any help in this search

Looking for info about these two. Jane Edmunds born abt 1812 in woodbridge. She married Edward Apperley(can't find a record)born abt 1812. their first daughter was born Cathe Apperley 1836(Pallots baptism register). He was in the Kings Guards. No reference to him on 1841 or 1851 Census. Only records are childrens baptism and birth records. His died in 1859 in Fulwood Barracks Preston. I have his certificate but no clues to anything else.

Searching for any info on the parents of my great great grandfather James Diaper b. 1831 who married Sarah Levett/Levitt from Woodbridge in 1855.After Sarah died in 1868 he married Elizabeth King from Suffolk. James was a seaman and died in South Shields in 1874. I believe the name Diaper was changed to Draper in the early 1900s.

In the 1891 census a Sophia M Smith from Woodbridge, Suffolk was living in Bermondsey with husband John from what looks like Blarnham Suffolk In the 1881 census an Emma Smith from the same address and with the same date of birth was living with husband John with identical information exept his place of birth is written more clearly as Barham, Suffolk! Any information on these or earlier members of the family would be welcome.

I am looking for any reference to EDWARD ALBERT COLEMAN who married KATIE KATHLEEN ABBOTT at Woodbridge in March 1918. According to his marriage certificate Edward's father was EDWARD COLEMAN, Seaman, deceased before 1918. At the time of this marriage Edward was a Corporal in the 24th Manchester Regiment and his army number was 2511. He gave his address as 19 Chapel Lane Felixstowe and his age as 21. It is possible that he was married before his marriage to Katie, who died in 1982. I was told he had come 'from abroad' to enlist in the army, so he may have been born abroad and even retuned abroad after he left Katie and their 5 children in 1929/30 when they were living in Ipswich. There has been no sign of him since; can anyone help to locate any reference to him? I have been looking for him for more than 10 years now with no luck so far. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

My research has lead me to believe they previously lived in Ipswich, Kedington and Haverhill. I can find no info before this so I am wondering if they originally came from Essex. Since my previous entry, I have ascertained that my grandmother, Hilda Giles and her two siblings, Ethel and Edith, lived for some while at, what used to be The Sun Hotel, Woodbridge (now a timber business at 102 Thoroughfare).
