red mail Lady Louisa
I'm trying to find a link between my family: Askew and a possible Lady Louisa Rous. My maternal great great grandfather Ambrose Askew was researching this n the 1850's and got as far as receiving a letter of acknowledgement of the family connection form the then Earl of Stradbroke, but also indicating no further correspondence on the matter would be accepted. Family anecdotes from several sources recount that Lady Louisa eloped with the butler and that was the start of our family. Any light shed would be appreciated, I have drawn a blank
