Robinson/ Ross / Sutton in Synnerton, Eccleshall,Stone Hanley & Stoke on Trent - (Swynnerton - Staffordshire)
Priscilla Robinson was probably the daughter of Thomas Robinson & Mary. Her christening was registered as Lillah Robinson on 24 Jan 1841 at Swynnerton Stafford England. She may have had siblings, James, John, Mary & Thomas. On 17 August 1863, when she was 23, she married John Ross 24 (son of George) at Wellington Staffordshire England. They had three daughters, Margaret (1864), Elizabeth (1866) and Mary (1868). John died before 1873 and Priscilla (32) married Enoch Sutton 26 (son of Edward) on 2 Feb 1873 in Hanley Staffordshire England. Their children were Sarah (1873), Elizabeth (known in the family as Aunt Lizzie) (1875) and Enoch (1878). The family were living at 11 Gate Street Stoke Upon Trent when the 1881 census was taken. The house hold included Margaret Ross. Priscilla gave her place of birth as Swinnerton and said that she was 39. On the 1891 British Census they were living at 45 Elizabeth Street Stoke upon Trent. Priscilla gave her age as 43 and her place of birth as Swonerton. This time Mary's son John T Ross (1890) was part of the house hold. On the 1881 census CD the family is listed as Satton. This error was probably made by a transcriber. The same applies to her place of birth. What happened to her children in latter years? Who were her parents and did she have siblings?
