HE WAS BORN IN OSWESTRY SHROPSHIRE AROUND 1802. HE HAD MOVED TO STAFFORDSHIRE BY 1841. HE LIVED AT CHURCH LANE BURSLEM IN THE 1841 CENSUS.

I am searching for any information about Jonathon Washington Booth (mid- late 1800's) who married Mary Archer. Lived in High Street, Tunstall, Wolstanton and ran a provisions store. Had daughter Elizabeth Booth who married Wilfred Jesse Cox and lived in Blackpool.

Andrew Briggs married Dora Read had 6 children Arthur 1876 Mary 1879 Frederick 1880 John 1883 William 1885 Emma 1888. Frederick married my Grandmother Florence Norris and they had 3 sons. Robert Leonard k/a William 1903 Albert 1908 ( my father ) and Frederick Percy 1911. They lived in Slaney Street and then Charles Street. My grandfather died in 1911 and mentions his sister Cissie Garner My grandmother sister Sarah Norris also lived in the area and married a George Ogden. They had 3 children Reginald Arthur 1896 Hilda Doris 1899 and Edna May 1901. If anyone knows of any connection to this family I would be so pleased to hear from you and would be happy to supply you with further info.

George Cooke was born in Odd Rode, Cheshire in 1860, he married Mary Eliza Hodgkinson, born 1861, in Wolstanton, Staffodshire in 1880 in Wolstanton. In the 1881 census the family were living in Wolstanton and by 1891 in Monks Coppenwell, Cheshire. They had 8 children: Ada 1880, Alice Maud 1887, Emily H 1885, Ethel 1887, John Percy 1892, Gladys May 1893, Thomas Reginald 1896 and Ernest R 1896. They were all born in Crewe or one of the Coppenhalls. Is there anyone out there searching for this family or is it just me?

Parents were Ensign bickley and Emily Beardmore. In Wolstanton 1901. Mary Beardmore and Joseph Henry Collis married Dec 1892. They had two children in 1901. George D Collis and Hild M Collis. Hi - looking for the marriage of Fred Whitehead to Martha Reeves between 1891 and 1936. Fred lived at Porthill (Sparrow Terrace) in 1891 with parents Alfred & Harriet, although the family originally came from Bury, Lancs in about 1880. In 1891 Martha lived with her family (father John Reeves, grandfather Isaac Cartlidge) in Red Street, Chesterton. Their first child was John Alfred Whitehead born Sparrow Terrace in Feb. 1893 and mother is named as Martha Whitehead formerly Reaves (sic)on birth Cert. Have checked Staffs, Cheshire & Lancs bmd websites with no joy - any help would be greatly appreciated.

Searching Thomas Harrison (25) from Hanover St who married Ada Ethel Wood (22) in May 1901 in Burslem. They then lived in Woolstanton. Employed as Potter. Father Thomas also Potter. Ada lived in Davenport St with her widowed mother Mary, sister Leah 17 and Rupert 11. Any info appreciated.

The 1871 British Census of Wellington Street, Wolstanton, Tunstall, Staffordshire, lists Samuel Woods, 6 years of age, born Tunstall, Stafford, England, son of Randle Woods and Mary Brookes. The 1881 British Census records show that Randle Wood, widowed, 50 old, born in 1831 Cheshire, England was living at Fegg Hayes when the census for the area he was living in was done at Wolstanton, Stafford, England. He was listed as a lodger, occupation Coal Manager. Also listed as a lodger at the same address was Samuel Wood, 15 years of age, born 1866 Cheshire, England, occupation brickmaker. Randle Woods died in January the following year 1882, so Samuel Woods would have then only been 15 or 16 years of age with both parents deceased. I am seeking any information on Samuel Woods, his marriage, death, family.

Trying to trace anybody who knew Mary Amesbury Nee Charlesworth (my paternal grandmother). She was born in Wolstanton in 1911 and died in Necastle-under-Lyme in 1944. Was married to Thomas Albert Amesbury and had 2 sons David and Thomas. My elderly Father has nothing about his Mother except her marriage certificate to his Father.
