Benjamin Wood married (Mary) Jane Russell 22 Sept 1878 in Walsall Staffordshire. They appear on the 1981 census with their sons William 2 and Benjamin 3 days. Her parents were Joseph Russell and Sarah Harvey. They too are on the 1881 census records with their children: Jane, Harriett, Sarah, Mary, Joseph, John, William, Harry, Alfred, Emma, Elizabeth, and Austin. I am guessing that the census taker asked Joseph to list his children and he did and may be like Jane they weren't at home. On the marriage certificate she is listed as Mary Jane Russell but on her birth certificate and on census records her christian name is given as Jane. I am seeking contact with anyone researching this family.

Any links at all please as I know I have distant relations there through my gt,gt grandfather. Don't want upsetting gossip, just dates and names would be great!
