Elizabeth (1852) who married Thomas Walker Warburton in 1871 but he died in 1885 aged 37. born Staffordshire 17th February 1786, possibly at Tutbury. He was convicted of killing sheep on 17 March 1814 at Derby Lent Assizes and originally sentenced to death, which was later comuted to 14 years'transportation to NSW. My GG grandfather. Probably married when convicted. A further marriage in 1827 in NSW lists him as a widower. Details of his birth or English family would be greatly appreciated.

My ancestor Mary Elizabeth Smith daug of John Smith and grand daughter of Matthew Smith and Sarah Blore was born c 1855 and married Samuel Grice born c. 1851 Lambeth Surrey, in 1877. They lived in Monk Street Tutbury for many years. Children were;John Henry c 1878; George James c. 1879; Samuel Hewson c. 1882; Sarah Elizabeth c. 1884; William Ewart c 1885; Jane Ellen 1887; Sydney Frederick c. 1889; Alice Mary c 1892. Samuel was a carriage builder and wheelwright and eventually the family business evolved into undertakers.
