red mail Wilson
Looking for descendants of George Wilson who was married to Mary Ann Smith (first marriage) Sadly Mary Ann died in 1856 shortly after giving birth to her daughter Mary Ann Caroline Wilson. Baby died at 2 weeks of age and Mary Ann shortly afterwards. George did re marry later. My great great grandfather was Frederick Wilson (elder brother of Mary Ann Caroline). He was born on 2-10-1853. 1851 census, Mary Ann (Smith) and George were living at Chapel Street with baby Alfred. George was a cordwainer and Mary Ann a shoe binder. Baby Alfred is sadly not mentioned on any other census either. Family "talk" says that Frederick was a soldier in the Boer War but I have no details of this. Does this ring any bells? Pat
