Trying to find family belonging to James Swain who married Ellen Rebecca Massey b. abt 1884. Their children were William, Harry, James, Helen, Jack and David (died young). Ellen died on the 29/5 year unknown but possibly around 1922 in childbirth and James Swain Snr remarried a woman with a ready made family, only details known are that she had a son named Arthur although my g-dad (James) mentioned a sister named Patricia Ann who died when she was 21. I know that Ellen Rebecca Massey had at least one sister. Does anyone know of this family??? Many Thanks

I'm looking for my Great Granma Skellam, I don't know her first or madien name or her date of birth, Her Husband (don't know his first name) held a high possition in the post office. I do know they had three children my Granma Florance Skellam,(she married Alfred Thomas Pepper they had three children jean, douglas & maureese or mog for short) My Uncle Charlie (He Married a lady called elsie, no madien name, they had two daughters(one had cancer the other had a heart attack, they were both in there 40's) who died within a week of each other a couple of years ago now uncle charlie died two weeks after the last sister died & aunty elsie died twelve months later) & a younger sister, I think was called Jean who died aged 12 of TB. The name SKELLAM is DUTCH & I've been told that my G,G, Grandad Skellam played the violin, he owned a silk mill in Congleton Cheshire & was possibly a magistrate, I do know there is very little to go on but if anyone has any information please pass it on. I am looking for my grandfather, Alfred Thomas Pepper & any information on my GreatGranfather & GreatGranmother Alfred Thomas's Parents, this is what I know so far; Alfred Thomas Pepper was born to Annie Pepper nee Clewes (no factual dob but born around 1880, given as She died aged 77 in 1956. She was born in Sun St,Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent) & a Mr Pepper,(no factual dob but born around 1895 given he died aged 43yrs in 1927 of the flu) noboby i've spoken to knows his first name(s)everyone said he was just Grandad or Uncle. Annie & her Husband had five children, Alfred Thomas, Arther, Evelyn, Hilda, and Nora, I would like any infomation on these people please. From what i can gather Alfred Thomas was married twice, the second time to my grandma, Florance Pepper nee Skellam dob 31/10/1909. If any one can help me with anybody listed above, no matter how trivial, I will be so greatfull. If you know of anyone before Annie Pepper (nee Clewes) & Mr Pepper I really will be extreamly greatfull. Thankyou

William Senior emigrated to Canada along with brother James, William joined Canadian Light Infantry in 1915 and was killed in 1917. Ellen later remarried to a Davies.

Anne Clarke was second wife of Private William Songhurst. He was born 1822 and was sent to Burslem 1850 after several years in Canada. They had William born Birr, Ireland, John Henry born Meerpur and Jane born Sialkot. Returned to England 1862. William became a Gentleman's servant. Any info on this family would be appreciated. Also info on his first wife Sarah who was the mother of his first son James born in Montreal.

I am seeking information on Alfred COOPER. He was married to Jane Prophitt. Both were deceased by 1910, either in the UK or in Australia. Their son Samuel Alfred COOPER born 1881/1880 at Stoke on Trent came to Australia sometime before 1910, and married an Australian woman named Stella Elma Ethel Holmes, in Victoria 28.6.1910. Samuel was 29 when he married, Stella was 21. One of their 5 children Alfred COOPER, is my grandfather, born 1913, deceased 1998. Samuels disappearance when my grandfatherand his four siblings were very young was quite mysterious, and we would love to hear from anyone who might be able to shed some light on this for us. My gran Elsie is 86 and would love to complete this part of her life story. I am Samuel's great granddaughter, living in Perth, Western Australia. Thankyou.
