red mail Zealpah Reynolds
Looking for the family of Zealpah b.1858 and married my husbands great-grandfather, Joseph Clifft on 25.12.1882 at Rushall Parish Church.
Hill
2 of my great grandfather's brothers, Caleb Felix Elisha HILL (Born 1843 in Kenilworth) and Isaac Henry HILL (Born 1846 in Napton on the Hill, married Jane Lines 1867) moved to Rushall where they appear in the 1881 Census listed as butchers. Also their parents (Sarah (nee Wilkins)and John HILL) moved there from Southam sometime after 1881 but before 1891 when John retired from farming. I have traced the family back to about 1800 at Lapworth. Any information both earlier and later would be appreciated.
David Burke
David Burke, b.29 October 1900, Heath End, Rushall, Staffs. Parents: Edmond(or Edmund) James Burke and Mary Clara Burke. Information is sought about the parents of Edmund - possibly Martin Burke, born Ireland 1828.
red mail Parr, Staples, Rushall, Ryecroft, Walsall
Mary Ann PARR married Thomas STAPLES at St Michael's Church Rushall on 27 December 1862. For both participants residence at date of marriage is given as simply RYECROFT without a street address. Thomas was born in Somerset, the son of Elijah and Sarah STAPLES (see other entries for STAPLES). Mary Ann's father's name is given as EDWARD PARR and his occupation as a BuckleFiler. I have been unable to trace Edward Parr in any censuses and cannot find a secure match for Mary Ann Parr in the 1861 census in and around Walsall. In 1881, Thomas and Mary Ann Staples are living at 93 Lantarra (probably Tantarra) Street, Walsall Foreign, and Mary Ann's birthplace is given as Walsall. Can anyone help with more information about Mary Ann Parr's whereabouts in censuses prior to her marriage? Does anyone know of an Edward Parr who could be Mary Ann's father circa 1840?
