red mail Norman Arthur Stevens Rowley Regis
I am trying to find family of Norman Arthur Stevens born 7th May 1929, Spalding, Lincs. I believe Norman to have been adopted his birth surname was Millard. I believe he married Muriel in 1949 in Rowley Regis and they had three children, Christine, Patricia and Phillip. I may be a half sister to Norman and am trying to found out what happened to him in his life. Norman died in 2004 in Dudley. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for reading this.
Doing a search on my HOMER side, and have come up with a discrepancy on what William HOMER'S wife's maiden name might be. William HOMER was born about 1827 in Rowley Regis to Isaac and Ann HOMER. I'm not certain whether Isaac's wife Ann's maiden name is Cahsmore, but that is what I have listed for now. If anyone has any information as to different, I would appreciate that information as well. Who I am inquiring about, though, is Ann who is married to William HOMER. It is possible that she is a BAKER. Unfortunately, there are other trees that have Ann BAKER passing away in England, and my Ann passed away in Ohio, USA. William and Ann HOMER had two children named William (b. 1864 Rowley Regis) and Mary Ann HOMER (b. 1869 Rowley Regis Stafforshire). I do not have any birth certificates for any of these people so this is all the information I have to go on. On the 1881 census, it lists William HOMER, wife Ann, William (son) and Mary Ann HOMER (daughter) all living with widower Isaac HOMER (father to William Sr.). Isaac died in 1887, and I have a passenger list for the William HOMER family coming to the USA that same year. (Most likely to reunite with several other HOMER siblings of William HOMER Sr., as James HOMER and Phoebe HOMER Perkins (she was married to William PERKINS)had come previously to America). So. Again, I am having trouble establishing what these maiden names are of these two Anns. Any, any information would be greatly appreciated and I thank anyone in advance for this.
red mail Samuel Johnson
Hello all, I am looking for a Samuel Johnson who I am assuming may have been born between 1845-1865. I have pictures of him but no other information as to where he lived or was born. I know he was married and had at least 2 children, a boy and a girl. One of my ancestors from Rowley Regis, Mary Ann HOMER, gave birth to a daughter named Martha HOMER/JOHNSON b.1888 in the USA, and it is Martha's father that I am seeking information on. Mary Ann HOMER b. 1869 Rowley Regis, Stafforshire, her brother William HOMER b.1864 Rowley Regis, Staffordshire, and her parents, William HOMER b. 1826 Rowley Regis, Staffordshire and Ann BAKER HOMER b. 1837 Rowley Regis, Stafffordshire all came to America in 1887. Mary Ann HOMER was not married at the time and was carrying a child that was fathered by Samuel Johnson. From what we can gather on our end, is the fact that Samuel JOHNSON kept in contact with Martha HOMER/JOHNSON through the years, but those letters have become misplaced (or just plain lost) once Martha died. I am not sure if Samuel Johnson actually lived in Rowley Regis or not. The whole HOMER clan lived there and I am assuming that somewhere in the regin Mary Ann HOMER had to have met Samuel Johnson close by. This has become one big brick wall for me. Help!
