The Vicars of Pensnett Parish Church.
Is it possible to find out the name of the person who was the Vicar of Pensnett in January 1875? From a marriage certificate I have it looks as if it could have been Charles Atherton. I would like to know because I have a lovely watercolour of some carnations which my auntie was reliably informed was painted by the wife of the vicar at that time and given to relatives of mine as a wedding present. It would be good if I could trace descendents of the artist and give the painting to them.
The Family of Charles Wall and Emily Jane Powell
I have a number of photographs, letters and certificates relating to this couple, both from the Kingswinford/Pensnett areaand their family, as my great aunt married one of this couples sons Charles Arthur . They came to my possession following the death of his unmarried sister Annie in the 1970's. Charles senior was born in 1851 at High Oak Kingswinford. His father was also Charles Wall, a wheelwright and his mother Martha Howell. Charles married Emily Jane , daughter of John Powell a farmer in Pensnett in 1875. He was a schoolmaster and the couple moved to Honley West Yorkshire where their 5 children- Emily Mary, Charles Arthur, Annie Mabel, John Richard and William Hubert Raymond were born before moving to Bristol around 1890. Emily, Charles and Annie became teachers.Emily moved to Leeds and then to Ilkley but I don't think she had any children. I am not sure what happened to John but I believe William (known as Hubert) may have emigrated to California. Charles had 2 children but both died in infancy. I think Hubert or John had a daughter named Mary Irene Wall born 6.8.1925. Charles senior had a sister known as Fanny who was still living in Pensnett at 4 Field House Lane in 1918 with either her husband or brother Jack. I believe Fanny had at least one daughter who also had at least one daughter. I would love to know if there are any surviving family members that I could pass these things on to.

I am looking for imformation on James and Thomas Hankins (father and son) born c 1837 and 1867in Pensnett. James was a canal boatman which probably accounts for the fact that he is missing from most of the census returns. He married Caroline Wasssell (nee Morris) in Dudley. I have Thomas (a widower) marrying my gt grandmother in Yorkshire in 1904 but can find no other trace of him between 1881 and then.

Marriage of Henry Stanworth and Harriet ?
Henry Stanworth (bc.1830, Oakengates, Shropshire) married Harriet before 1860, presumably at Pensnett, as their child, Charles Stanworth, was born there c.1860. It's possible that they also had a John H Stanworth bc.1858. Harriet died in 1888 (Stourbridge ref). Henry died sometime after 1901; probably soon afer, as it appears he was in hospital in Kingswinford in the 1901 census.
