Looking for descendants or information on, Thomas William SIMMS. Born in Fenton, Staffordshire, England, Lincolnshire County, about 1886. He married Florence in 1908. They traveled on the ship Imperator , Leaving from Liverpool in February of 1920 arriving in New York March 1920. My grandmother was born July of 1920 in New York. Edward HUGHES 1844 - 1902
My gg grandfather Edward HUGHES (1844  1902) married Mary Ann TURNER ( 1844  1922 ). They moved around the potteries but lived for many years in Fenton. They had 8 children. Edward was a coal miner whose father came from Oswestry originally. Mary Ann was the daughter of Nathaniel TURNER ( see entry under Norton in the Moors ). I'm looking for information on John Elijah Kember who lived at 13 Packett Street, Fenton until his death 31st July 1897. He had been a colour Sergeant with the 43rd Oxford Light Infantry of Fenton and left behind a widow 'Elizabeth Kember' Could anybody suggest which local newspapers from the time I could search for a death announcement or how I could search local cemeteries for his burial? Patrick,a miner, married Elizabeth(maiden name unknown) both born in Fenton Staffs. Daughter Mary Ann P Mannion born 1886ish in Fenton, daughter Catherine Mannion(later Darton) born 1891 in Fenton. They then moved to Methley Yorks and had daughter Janie, son Harry and daughter Ellen (married Albert Holt). I know about Catherine and Ellen. I am researching both the morrall and Key families. They lived in the Fenton,Longton, Shelton and Great Bridge areas of Staffordshire. I have located Samuel Morrall born 1835 in Great Bridge on the 1891 census which shows him living in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. He married Mary Evered his second wife in 1873 in Stoke on Trent. I don't know the name of his first wife but they had 1 son Albert Edward born about 1865. Samuels father was John Morrall but I have been unable to find any trace of him. Charles Key married Mary Ann, surname unknown, and are shown to be living in Cudworth South Yorkshire on the 1891 census. Any help or information on either family would be greatly appreciated
