Pamela White
Searching for information concerning Pamela Violet White born 1933. Daughter of Albert Henry White (1907) and Emily Violet Green (1909/1910). They spent some time in a childrens home in Shepton Mallet possibly around the late 1930`s early 1940`s. Another was named Baiss - believed to be Huegenot refugees from Belgium who settled in Shepton Mallett - he had the job of manning the toll-gate outside Shepton Mallett. The Hill surname comes in after this when a David Hill - a refugee from a revolution or something similar in Spain arrived in Shepton Mallett with his two sisters. His parents and a brother were killed in Spain. He married Selina Newton, daughter of the Newton mentioned earlier. At different times he was a farm labourer and a gamekeeper.
